Hereinafter Cocktail Tavern

It was an incredible experience from start to finish. I ordered the jambalaya, and it did not disappoint! The dish was packed with plenty of tender chicken and flavorful andouille sausage, with just the right amount of spice. It wasn’t dry at all—every bite was rich and well-seasoned. As an appetizer, we tried the hot crab dip. I’ll admit, I’m not usually a fan of crab, but I decided to step outside my comfort zone, and I’m so glad I did. It was creamy, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. I would order it again in a heartbeat. To pair with our meal, we chose a bold, full-bodied red wine that complemented the flavors beautifully. My husband ordered the Philly cheesesteak, and he loved it—the steak was juicy, and the cheese perfectly melted. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch. If you’re looking for a great spot to enjoy flavorful Cajun food and more, Hereinafter is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!

We finally found our “place!” We’ve lived in Licking County for 10 years, yet my wife & I hadn’t found a local restaurant that we loved... that we want to go back to repeatedly... til now! We love the atmosphere of Hereinafter! Classy, yet welcoming & unpretentious. And we love that there are no TV’s. It really feels like you’re somewhere else... or even some time else. A perfect date night spot. The food is absolutely incredible! Everything we’ve gotten has been delicious! And it’s fun to see what tweaks they make to their menu so you can try new items. And the drinks!! Ben & his staff make the best cocktails!! I can't even begin to explain everything that goes into making their drinks! They literally make their own, special ice just for their cocktails. So glad we found Hereinafter.

Best brunch at the Lake! We loved the Crab Cake Benedict and Big Breakfast Burrito (pictured), then adored the Bananas Foster Beignet. Two thumbs up for the Mimosas and Sparking French 75 cocktail. Ambiance is classy but unpretentious. Terrific service, too. We’ll be back!

Wow!!!! Exceeds expectations in every way.. How amazing to find this gem.. Romantic for a date night or fun vibe for a weekend drink with friends.. the menu is French with a gourmet twist making every bite delicious.. there is also a brunch menu with shrimp n grits and biscuits and gravy and so much more.. ask about all the events like cocktail lessons wine tasting pairings wine club soo much fun to have. Go see Nick who is the super professional with amazing suggestions and pointers and brings his great spirit to the table making the night an unforgettable experience.. I’d just say this is more than a must try but for me it is my fun time drink dinner destination no matter the weather this is the place to be.

Such an amazing addition to the lake!! We had a wonderful time and were blown away by the staff, atmosphere, food, and of course the drinks. Highly recommend the bourbon street Brussels sprouts and the charcuterie board. Can’t wait to go back and try more! I have to say... This is a great place! We loved it! The atmosphere is inviting, relaxing, and makes you want to stay to enjoy the space with friends! It is a cocktail tavern and if you've never been- I would compare it to some of the gastropubs. We actually stopped here on our way home from having dinner in Columbus. We stopped for a drink. This is the perfect place to hang out after dinner! Everyone working there was so nice and helpful, they were all working hard to make sure the customers were happy. I could just see it when we walked in, the whole atmosphere was pleasant. The menu was that of food that sounded delicious (even though I was still full from dinner), many good wines, and mixed drinks. If you didn't find a drink you like, they will help solve that problem... I didn't know how they would actually customize a cocktail to the flavors you like. Oh, and did you know about the ice?! Check out the picture - Crystal clear ice is made in their own ice house and cut for your drink. I enjoyed a favorite of mine - a Mule, it was made with fresh ginger, sugar, soda, and vodka. My husband really enjoyed his customized drink as well, it was a customHome on the Range. We couldn't pass up the dessert while we were there, we had the banana foster beignet and omgoodness it was soooo good! I am really looking forward to going back and tasting some more of the food along with trying some other cocktails. Until then, we purchased a bottle of wine to go - The Seeker Reisling. Thank you again for a great end to our evening out!

We found this little gem through Harvest Host on our way from CO to VA over Thanksgiving. Truly cannot say enough about the place and the staff. Swank decor, unique cocktails, fantastic food, and Nathan, the very knowledgeable GM/bartender, all made for a memorable evening on Buckeye Lake. Also happened upon some fellow Chicago Bears fans, which was a bonus. A little off the beaten pass, but definitely worth it!

This is not what you’d expect in Buckeye Lake, this is not a “beer and fireball shots with pizza and wings” place! Hereinafter has the best cocktail game in a 30 mile radius and the food is excellent. The staff is personable, knowledgeable, and eager to make sure that you have a good experience! This is our favorite place to go when we are in town, hands down.
